reasons to attend a live event

I freaking love getting out of the house to attend live online marketing events as much as possible.  Since 2009, when I first broke out of my own comfort zone to attend an event, I’ve made it a priority to get out to several every year.

My personal goal is to attend at least one Mastermind/Retreat Event, one ‘tried and true’ Conference where I can be sure to see lots of friends and one totally new Conference where I’m sure to meet new people.

Do you have Live Event Goals?

If not, here’s some reasons I believe you’ll want to set some!

Fun & Excitement: There’s nothing better than the energy of a live event!

Love & Encouragement: When you take a moment in time to do something for yourself you create new levels of confidence and love for yourself. You receive encouragement from the people leading and you get to give encouragement to others you meet.

Courage & Strength: The courage & strength you build is foundational. It’s something that you can continue to build with every single trip. Especially if you’re a nervous traveler and like to stay home. You get yourself “out there” in a way that builds you up when you’re around friends and people who care about your life success.

Dream Big Dreams: Dream up new ideas for your future, let the ideas flow from the conference.

Passion & Purpose: Without passion you’ll be stuck in nowhere land. Being around others with the same type of business vision will inspire you to work within your passion and be more passionate about the things you do.

Momentum: Money loves it when you move quickly, the momentum you build will move you ahead quicker and more efficiently.

Friendships: What’s better than making new friends? Or connecting with old friends? Business relationships should be friendships first, everything comes from relationship.

Ideas: Get inspired by new ideas to implement right away and BIG ideas that you can plan for.

Mastermind: Discover new mastermind groups to connect with, get “in person” help within your group and celebrate each other’s success.

Rest & Relaxation: Plan for some down time and relax – get a pedi or massage maybe!

Good Food: Seriously, food is good right? But better when we eat with those we care about. Food brings people together in conversations that build friendship. Plus, think about trying new foods along your journey.

Confidence: There’s nothing like getting away from the people who doubt you and getting around others who believe in you fully. You build your confidence in a huge way when you surround yourself with others who are on the same journey as you. Just getting out and speaking with people builds your confidence in other areas of your life.

Action: When we are around others who take action it’s only natural to want to take more action as well.

Business Growth: Being at live events encourages business growth at a much quicker rate. Business is all about relationship building and helping others.

New Opportunities:  You may meet someone new who will think about your interactions later and new opportunities will arise that never would have happened if you stayed home.

Fresh Progress: Progress happens because you are not sitting stagnant at home, you are getting out and meeting up with others who have similar business structures.

Outsourcing Connections: You can meet new virtual assistants, connect with people who specialize in technical work, find new writers and more.

  1. Just picked a date for my next one-day event. It’s going to be Saturday, June 24. (Details to follow!)

Events are a great way to reach a lot of people at one time. Having a room full of people who get to see who are and what you do is a great way to get clients. It’s much easier to convert from your event than networking one-on-one.

I’m a speaker so maybe I’m biased but I’m a big fan of live events which is why I’m going to Beachpreneurs!

  2. hahaa..good points! I do love a live event! and if you have a good group to hang out with, then it becomes great fun. but any ideas of what to do if you are along and still want to go? – that can get boring :(

  3. I can’t tell you how excited I am about Beach Camp. I know I’m going to learn a lot and I’m really looking forward to hanging out with all of you and getting to know you better as well. I’m a big coffee fan so if anyone needs a coffee buddy, I’m your girl!
