It's happening more often these days. I'm meeting interesting people who are 100% focused on building only a social presence – and I don't mean they haven't had a chance to build a website yet – I mean they don't plan to.
Frankly, I think they're bonkers.
I love social media platforms and am happy to play and engage there, but my website is ‘Home' and always will be.

This is the only platform you own and control. If you’re building a business, build one where you get to determine the direction of your business.
I totally agree! I want my community to engage with me here on my home base as much as possible. It's where I can manage the message without all the extra noise and call readers into a deeper relationship with me.
